The Pakistan Society for Human Resource Management (PSHRM) is Pakistan’s first formal association devoted to advancement of the human resource management profession in the country. Representing 27 heads of Human Resources in leading organizations of Pakistan, the Society’s vision is to have highly competent and effective Human Resource Professionals in our member organizations and provide a support base for others to learn from. PSHRM also aims to be an influential voice for the profession and serve the needs of HR professionals by providing the most essential and comprehensive resources available.

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES

PSHRM has now opened its doors for memberships to Institutions, individuals and students. We offer the following membership categories subject to laid down criteria:

New Institutional Member
Associate/Individual Member
Student Member
HR Services Consultant Member
Distinguished HR Professional/Former PSHRM Member

New Institutional Member

All companies, firms, institutions, institutes, associations and organisations who have a specialized human resource function/ department and are desirous of becoming members of this Society.

1. Listed on the Stock Exchanges / Member of OICC&I/Not for profit organizations
2. Minimum 5 years into business
3. Should have a Board of Directors
4. Not identified as a bank defaulter
5. They conform to SECP regulations
6. The individual heading the HR function should have management / HR background and experience to effectively contribute to PSHRM’s activities
7. Proposed and seconded by Founding Members and meet the laid down criteria

The PSHRM Executive Council will review all applications and shall take the final decision in approving or rejecting the applications.

• Can take part in all meetings as well as quarterly and annual Conferences
• Shall have access to Society's Website
• Will not participate in election of General Council

Membership fee: Rs. 15,000
Annual Subscription: Rs. 9,000

Associate/Individual Member

Individuals with upto 5 years Management/HR experience.

1. Working in Managerial position or in HR division
2. To be recommended by their Company's HR Head

Preference would be given to those working for Founding or Institutional members.

• Shall have access to Society's Website
• Can attend quarterly and annual conferences
• Will not participate in election of General Council

Membership fee: Rs. 6,000
Annual Subscription: Rs. 3,600

Note: Associate/Individual membership will be entertained with effect from quarter I , 2006

Student Member

Students of Business Management, especially those specialising in HR.

1. Recommendation from Head of their institution required
2. To be discussed and agreed by PSHRM General Council

• Shall have access to Society's Website
• Can attend only annual conferences
• Will not participate in election of General Council

Membership fee: Rs. 1,000
Annual Subscription: Rs. 600

Note: Student membership will be entertained with effect from quarter I , 2006

HR Services Consultant Member

HR Consultants/Training professionals of good reputation in the market for the services rendered or HR work being done by them.

1. Proposed and seconded by Founding Members
2. Their name will be included in the PSHRM website as the preferred consultant
3. If they wish to post their advertisement in the website, additional charges shall have to be paid

• Shall have access to Society's Website
• Can attend annual conferences at reduced rates
• Will not participate in election of General Council

Membership fee: Rs. 25,000
Annual Subscription: Rs. 15,000

Distinguished HR Professional/Former PSHRM Member

PSHRM's Executive Council will prepare a list of distinguished HR professionals who have contributed to the profession or HR Forum/Society itself over the years but have now retired from active service.

1. Will be given Life membership of the Society
2. Will be invited to attend Conferences/Seminars of the Society at no charge to them
3. Shall have access to Website
4. Free entry to quarterly / annual conferences
5. Will not participate in election of General Council

• Honorary Membership

• All applicants will be required to complete the application form in its entirety. Special attention should be given to fields which are designated as mandatory
• Supporting documents (if required) to be attached with the application form
• Membership fee in form of a bank pay order in favor of Pakistan Society of Human Resource Management to be sent to:
